Yamin Blames Hon.Asiamiah For Non-Implementation Of Commission’s Report,Rates NPP Government 3% In Terms Of Sports

Commission’s report has not been implemented due to friendship and cronyism with the GFA,this according to Joseph Yamin.

Former Deputy Youth and Sports Minister under the NDC administration; Hon Joseph Yamin has blamed current sports minister Hon.Isaac Assiamah for the lack of implementation of the commission’s report.

During the Presidential encounter with the press yesterday, it will be recalled His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo noted that he has forgotten about the Commission’s work which was set up to probe into the 2014 World Cup fiasco in Brazail.

In an interview with Prestea-based Energy FM, Yamin noted, the friendship and cronyism between the sector ministry and the GFA has called for this;

“I have heard the minister say on other networks that Kwasi Nyantakyi is his close friend and for a year now, nothing has been done about the report.

“This is a clear indication that they cannot fight corruption in Ghana football especially at the ministry and GFA.” He said this on Energy fm.

Speaking on the general performance of the NPP government in Sports, the former minister rated them 3% and added he’s not convinced they can help improve Sports in Ghana.

“The president demonstrated with his answers that he doesn’t know what is happening at the Sports Ministry, he is not following Sports and that says it all”. He added.
