KNUST students express divergent expectations on president Akufo Addo’s second state of the nation address

Some students of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology have expressed divergent views on the performance of president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s one year administration as he prepares to address parliament on the state of Ghana on Thursday February 8, 2018.

This is his second State of the Nation Address to Parliament as stated by article 67 of the 1992 constitution of the republic of Ghana.

In an interview with Focus News ahead of President Nana Akufo-Addo’s State of the Nation Address in Parliament tomorrow some students of KNUST expected the government to have done better in its first year of office.

A third year political science student Daniel Owiredu, assessed the president positively.

‘’Generally his first year has been good. I  would rate him less than 100% because he has not been able to fulfil some of the promises he made in his manifesto, we are hoping that it will not just be a political talk but a real time action’’,  he stated.

Another student is of expectation that the president will touch on the issue of making application forms to all universities in Ghana one so that students can choose from options when applying. To him, there is so much corruption in the sale of admission forms by registrars of various universities in Ghana.
