Gender minister, professors and experts to expose KNUST students to opportunities

The KNUST chapter of the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana, GRASAG-KNUST is set to organize an educational forum to expose postgraduates, undergraduates and students from second cycle institutions to available opportunities.

The educational forum under theme, “Today’s Graduate; Exploring Numerous Opportunities”, is slated for Saturday, 21st October, 2017 at the College of Science auditorium, KNUST at 9am.

This year’s event which is organized under the auspices of the GRASAG women’s commission, features men and women occupying high positions in Ghana to share their experiences and expose participants to numerous opportunities.

Minister for Gender and Social protection, Hon Otiko Afisa Djaba is among the key personalities who will be speaking to the participants. Other notable personalities to attend the programme include Provost of College of Science, KNUST, Prof Ibok Nsa Oduro, Dean of faculty of education, UDS, Prof. Agnes Atia Apusigah, Mrs. Lydia Bediako Asare of Ecobank Ghana, Dr. Abdul Samed Sulemana and Founder and Executive Director of Excellent Leadership Group, Mr. Daniel Osei Tuffour.

The women’s commissioner of GRASAG-KNUST, Miss Grace Abachi says the programme aims at making the participants creative and independent. She also indicated that, her outfit will be organizing similar programmes to empower students. She is therefore admonishing students, lecturers and the general public to attend the event and participate in their subsequent activities.
